MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN OF STUDENTS
The Dean’s office is in charge of the students’ affairs. Because of the vast nature of this office our functions have been subdivided into various sections: Guidance and Counseling Health services, Catering, Sports, Security, Students’ Union, Accommodation, entertainment, Clubs and Societies.
There is a comprehensive guidance and counseling program as an integrated part of the college activities. The program addresses the needs of all by facilitating trainees, trainers and the entire FCK community with personal/social assistance as well as helping create positive and safe climate in the institution.
The institution has employed a nurse on permanent basis, who provides first aide to students and staff when emergences arise. She offers treatment to students and staff and refers those with complications to the nearby health facility. She monitors sick students on medication, and offers counseling to them.
Housekeeping section offers accommodation services. There are three hostels for male and five hostels for female students with spacious rooms. Room allocation is based on first come, first served basis. Beds, mattresses are provided and students are charged Ksh3,000 per term.
Our college catering system is pay-as-you-eat (PAYE) cafeteria which offers a variety of meals which are pocket friendly.
We have s students’ union in place, whereby elections are held in July every year. The elected students undergo an induction. At the end of their term in office, they are treated to a trip to a place of their choice.
Our institution is blessed with the best sports facilities. This has made it excel in sports at the Regional and National Ball Games and Athletics Championships.
Under clubs and societies we have drama, scouting, Christian Union (CU), Young Christian Association (YCS), Seventh Day Adventist (SDA), Islamic Association, Music etc.
We invite you to join The Friends College Kaimosi Community and look forward to growing together.
