MECHANICAL & AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
The main of the department is to provide the trainees with the skills and knowledge they require in the industry. The department comprises of both Mechanical Engineering Courses (Production option) and Automotive Engineering Courses at Diploma, Certificate and Artisan levels.
Production engineering is a combination of manufacturing technology with management science. This course exposes trainees to aspects of design, control, and improvement of integrated system.
Automotive engineering is a combination of mechanical, electrical and materials science. Trainees in this field can use design software to devise new vehicle designs or systems or look for ways to improve existing automotive engineering technology (Test brake systems, engines, safety mechanisms, fuel technologies and transmissions).
COURSES OFFERED IN THE DEPARTMENT
All the courses have an integration of Entrepreneurship, ICT, Communication Skills and Life Skills to enable the trainee envisions self-employment and technological advancement.
